Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience at this vet.
Our dog developed a cough and we brought her in to see the vet. They performed tests but did not provide the results to us despite having them for over a week. Our dog ended up collapsing. On the way to the hospital, we called the vet and they provided the test results to us over email immediately. The results they provided indicated she had heart disease and had an elevated risk for heart failure, which we did not know previously.
While we believe they are qualified and caring doctors at this establishment, I am disappointed by the administrative efforts to provide us test results and schedule follow up appointments in a timely manner. I’m unsure if we could have prevented this outcome but I feel as though vet services of Westwood did not provide us the best chance in doing so. I will no longer bring my dogs here.

Dr. Thorne and everyone who works here are truly the best; very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating.
Dr. Thorne has taken care of my two rescue cats for almost 2 years, figuring out the best plan to get them well as both had medical issues when I adopted them.
I highly recommend Veterinary Services of Westwood.

Dr. Thorne and her staff are the best of the best. My 18 year old blind miniature pincher receives amazing care and love at every visit. I checked many vets in the area when I moved here and I'm very happy with my choice.

Dr. Thorne, Lisa and Megan are amazing. My dog has Addison's disease and is rather high maintenance and a frequent flyer at the Vet. I followed Dr. Thorne and her staff from her old office because I have been thrilled with the comprehensive and loving care my dog receives. The new and beautiful office is a huge bonus with its high tech features (computerized record keeping, in house blood lab, xray), but I would have followed the practice anyway. I'm confident my dog is getting the best care possible.

They were very sensitive in telling us our dog was terminally ill and told us of the options and consequences open to us. They allowed time and space while there to come to a decision. When it was decided to put it down they were generous with their time before and after the procedure so we could say goodbye to our friend and soul partner.
