We did not go inpatient at this hospital so my review is only for the staff and assessment half
I am very lucky to have found this place, my boyfriend, with no insurance, needed to go inpatient. I found this place after explaining our situation to Cypress Creek hospital, I was extremely shocked when we came in and we were almost immediately assessed. I have been inpatient 7 times and each time I had waited 1-3:30 hours for it. Our assessor was really great to work with, I believe his name was Christopher, he was very assuring and understanding. They did not have any available beds to take him, but they found him a place within an hour! And they said I could drive him! This was again very shocking as when this same thing happened to me it took them 8 HOURS to find a place and due to Harris county law an ambulance had to take me which took several more hours, another time they said a Police officer had to take me and there’s only 1 certified cop in all of Houston, so it took him atleast 6 hours to get to me, even though the hospital I was to be transferred to was literally down the road (4 minute drive). Overall I was expecting to wait atleast 6 hours, but was out within 2. I cannot be more thankful for these wonderful peoples help and respect for our time. I have been to 3 other hospitals and this is the only one I’ve had a good experience with for the evaluation half, I cannot express my gratitude enough, they were able to help us when I felt extremely helpless trying to find care for my struggling loved one.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I needed to end up here during my crisis tonight. I was only there for a couple of hours, but it was exactly what I needed. Absolutely refreshing compared to my other experiences with other mental health facilities. They quite literally changed the course of my life.

THIS PLACE MEANS THE WORLD TO SOMEONE LIKE ME I AM SO GLAD IT IS HERE THEY GAVE ME HOPE AT ONE OF THE HARDEST TIMES OF MY LIFE. I just want to say how much of a difference they have made in my life and freedom.

Edit: oops I meant Tri county services in General not the emergency inpatient services because that was not where I stayed but the whole Tri County services I received in any situation and this has been about 8 years .

Apparently severe psychosis isn't hospitalization worthy. I also had a meltdown and was left alone in a room during it. Information for me was given to the people who came with me. It was a poor decision to leave a mentally ill person having a meltdown alone because not only could I have been a threat to myself in that state, I could have destroyed property, etc. The service was upsetting and it was my second time trying this place and both times I left feeling worse than when I went in.

My experience in TriCounty was very fulfilling... The psychiatrist on staff are amazing ,easy to talk to ,and very helpful not bc they are trained to be but bc they love what they do!! I felt better after a couple days of being admitted!!

Stay clear of this place and please look somewhere else, whether it be for work or psychiatic services. They only care about the money, management do not care about staff or patients well being
