This is the worst ice company in the entire planet. Let me tell everyone why. The owner, David Haller, is one of the nastiest people you will ever meet.

We unfortuneately made the mistake of using Serv-Ice as our ice supplier for a construction job. Another company also made the same mistake. Any time you call the office (which is solely David the owner) he is nasty and says it will be weeks before he can deliver ice every single time. Yet, if you call his awesome truck drivers they can always get to you on any day with no questions asked. David refuses to update you and never gives a response and always has a nasty attitude for absolutely no reason at all.

You would think the actual company owner would be nice, provide good service, and not be a piece of work for no reason. The customers are the ones making him thousands for freezing water. If he had an employee that acted the way he did, any other business in the world would fire them. The only reason david gets away with it is because it's his own business so he know's that enables him to be able to act how ever he wants, which is always nasty. I had to explain to David why we started calling his drivers instead of him to order ice and it was a pretty simple message. Youre nasty and they aren't, come pick up your ice box today. He didn't take it too well and hung up because he knew he was in the wrong and didn't have the courage to listen.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from Serv-Ice. The actual workers are cool/good, the owner wakes up on the wrong side of the bed for a living and then forces you to call him for Ice.

Great vendor for my campground. Previously had a different vendor who was incredibly hard to get along with and poor service. These guys were a god send. Always prompt, courteous, and deliver a quality product.

Terrible customer service, called to sign up and get pricing and didn’t get anything but being rushed off the phone cause they are “jammed” how ridiculous he said his son would have to reach back out and the soonest he’s available is a week from now. Also said that if I don’t have the prices I might as well just go with someone else. Is this really how we run business now?

Bit pricier than the one I usually get but totally worth it. It's so easy and convenient. I used their dispenser for the first time today and will definitely be going back when I cant make it to my usual place.

These folks totally saved my Memorial Day Weekend. All three ice machines go down and I have a pool party for 450 people but no ice. I called on Saturday night and requested 1000# of ice for the next day. Now here is the kicker...I did not at the time have an account with them nor had done business with them before. The next morning at 830 the truck showed up with my ice. They helped me unload it and left the invoice on faith I'd pay it. This type of service is a reminder of what things used to be like.
Needless to say we are now a faithful account holding customer and I would not think of calling anyone else. If you need ice...this is the only call you should be making. 10/10 A++

The order placement went fine, but it's worth noting that the same ice in every other market I work is at least $1 less per bag when buying bulk. Not only are they overpriced, but they were combative and rude when I called to simply verify my order of 150 bags of ice. I was later told that they were busy, and "that's what I get for calling at a busy time". The day of my event, I was told they couldn't pick up the ice truck as was outlined in my contract (and paid for) and that I was "out of luck". I had paid a lot extra for same day pick up, but the man who I spoke with told me "I didn't know what I was talking about" and that I'd "just have to figure something else out". Later, he called back and said I was right, I did pay for same day pick up and they would be there. Then, they showed up an hour early for pick-up, without a single word to anyone, and took the trailer with ice still in it! Not only do they owe me an apology for the way they handled virtually everything, they owe me for the ice they hauled off. And they will not respond to me via email or phone so my only recourse is to share with others how they seem to operate. The only positive thing I can say they have going for them was their delivery guy who was super friendly and accommodating.

B-last from the Past! This place still has the 1920's IceVending machines that only take change. It was hard to come up with $3.75, but I did it with the help of the backseat cushion. It would be wonderful if the could add a simple NFC reader for Apple Pay/Google Pay and NFC Credit Cards.
My dad used to bring me here for blocks of ice before fishing trips. With the NFC my son could bring his son.

We are a bicycle shop in the Merriman Valley trying to keep our customers safe while they go to and from our shop to their cars and taking our bicycles for test rides. Serv-Ice Delivery Co. trucks do not cut through our parking lot to get to neighboring businesses. Thank you for helping our customers remain safe. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated and those drivers that use our parking lot to avoid the light at Merriman and Portage should take a lesson from your company. This thoughtfulness indicates to me that this is a company everyone should do business with. We will!!!!
