After being snubbed by other places in the San Diego area, Angela answered, worked with me immediately, had my Brother-in-laws body picked up within an hour of my phone call, and has been a bulldog helping me navigate the round and round process that the hospital and Dr are giving us.
I cannot recommend her services enough. Understanding, caring, and on point. If I could leave 10 Stars, I wouldn’t have an issue giving her and her services those 10 stars.

The pre-planning direct-cremation option was essential for a reason I never imagined possible. Despite three advanced notifications to the hospital in the days and weeks prior, and again on that fateful day, it turned out the hospital morgue was in the process of redirecting the body elsewhere. Upon learning of that shocking last minute revelation Angela at Cortez sprang into action. It was a harrowing few hours for me wondering what might happen to the body in the event he went elsewhere. Thankfully, Angela intervened in time and insured the body was released to Cortez. Pre-planned arrangements with Cortez were followed. Afterwards, Angela assisted with the additional certified death certificates needed. I am grateful to Angela and Cortez Cremations for professional handling of these final needs arrangements for our beloved deceased.

Angela, the owner stopped responding to my emails after saying they would be able to pick up my parents ashes from the airport. I was given no reason for this and when I sent an email to the business asking why they said to 'move-on' ..which is fine I will certainly take my business elsewhere I just would have liked to know why this happened. Very odd and unprofessional behavior. If I could give them -5 stars I would.
