I developed two rolls of color films last Friday and got the scans back via email the following Monday, but I’m sure if I had gone during the weekday I would’ve gotten the scans back the next day. I went for the high quality scan and was very pleased with the result. My total came out to be ¥3,300 (¥1,550/roll + ¥100/roll for the email service), which is quite reasonable considering it being in the heart of Tokyo. It would truly be like any other film stores in Tokyo, but the owners are what makes this store such a special experience. They were so incredibly helpful and patient with me not knowing much Japanese. In one of my rolls I accidentally loaded it wrong so some of the films didn’t come out well and they were really concerned about it and tried to explain the situation in both the email AND in person when I went and picked up the negatives in person. We all shoot film photography for the experience of photo-taking, I recommend treating yourself to the experience of photo-developing as well. Do visit Photo Ueno if you get the chance to.

the sweetest people running the shop :)) I have been there twice now to develop film and buy disposables and it has been the sweetest little interactions. very friendly and worked with me despite my poor Japanese. shots turned out great too!

The cutest and kindest couple I’ve ever come across. My boyfriend goes to develop his films and I tag along purely to interact with them. He says their scans are great, fair price, and quick for the colored ones (1-2 business days), black and white (about 1 week). They have an English menu and try hard to speak in English. It’s a bit of a walk from Shibuya station but well worth it! Please give them a visit if you’re ever in Tokyo and want to develop your film!

Great place to get your film developed while in Tokyo. They got my 35mm color developed and scanned in a day and my 35mm BW was done in a week (they have to send BW out). Great little place and glad they’re still around.
