I have had multiple experiences with Aire Serv. The first was when my 15 year old AC unit wasn't working in 2020 and they came out, troubleshooted and said it was time to replace it. I got a quote for a new one from them. But instead I found another company that would fix the fan motor. Which could extend the life by a couple years. That kept my machine running for significantly less as a new unit.

Two years later, my machine stopped working again so I decided it was time to bite the bullet and stop with the bandaid fixes. I got multiple quotes and the unit replaced by a licensed company.

Flash forward to this week, I called asking about duct work and why one room would be hotter than another room next to it. The guy was great on the phone, responsive and said he could be out the following week to look at the ducts for a service fee. I said great! Only to get a call back not even five minutes later saying they can't look at the duct work now because he saw in my records they serviced me in 2020 and I didn't go with them to put the AC unit it.

By far the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and seems like very scummy and spiteful practices. I tried giving this company another chance since I've seen good reviews for them, but there's always something that spoils the experience with them. Just take caution dealing with this company. Prices are higher and apparently if you don't go with them they'll remember and refuse to do business with you later.

Edit adding response to the owner's reply:

1) I did not say a friend of a friend. I did say a friend that is an HVAC professional and certified installed it via a licensed and insured business. Not as just a person who just showed up to do it as I explained to you. Why you are assuming a non-professional installed it is errant and unfound.
2) When asked why I didn't reach out to him, I said because this is appears to be a duct issue and we have been reaching out to multiple places to get quotes. I never said I couldn't get a hold of him. Another unfound assumption.
3) I didn't say anything about the system being installed incorrectly or that I thought anything was wrong during install or the system now. That is a straight up lie.
4) I did not get heated or yell at you. I did laugh at your responses as they were very unprofessional claiming that you wouldn't take a look at the duct in the attic all of a sudden because we did not proceed with using your quote in 2020.
5) I do not know what you mean by "we do not work on DIY projects" as this is not of the such.
6) You DID indeed make a service schedule for Thursday July 18th between the hours of 12-2 but then called back to cancel. Please do not lie.

I would be more than willing to discuss my review, it was not made out of anger, but as a warning to others that you guys seem to make assumptions and judgements based on unfound claims as well as denying a service you provide to a customer due to not taking your quote in the past. You have my number if you would like to further discuss.

The technician, David Dixon was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He explained how it would be better to purchase a new unit than to fix the old one due to age. My only concern now is That Consumer reports does not rate Amana Heat pumps very good (3 out of 5) for reliability and customer satisfaction.
