I don’t ever write negative reviews, but I want to protect people from falling for poor medical advice by a money-driven doctor. DO NOT visit Dr. Govett! After years of digestive issues and other resulting symptoms, I came here hoping to find an answer. He immediately ran comprehensive bloodwork before I even had time to think. (FYI: not the most reliable test.) He informed me that I was allergic to a long list of foods and put me on a restrictive diet. So began a long process of returning every few weeks or months to be “reassessed.” All the while, I was spending over $100 each visit just on supplements they produced and which he “prescribed” for me. At each visit, he essentially asked how I had been doing, I gave a general update, and he said to keep doing the same thing and come back in a few weeks. No in depth questions, no assistance, no exploration. He talked about reintroducing foods to see how I would do, but I said I accidentally ate one of the items on my list and felt unwell afterwards. His response was that I would be allergic to everything for the rest of my life. After symptoms escalated again, he put me on a keto diet, minus dairy, INDEFINITELY - NOT healthy for the average person!! After 2 years of this, I suffered from extreme low energy, continued digestive issues, and other symptoms. I finally went to a GI doctor who was able to tell me from the start that my issue was most likely just IBS; she still went forward in running multiple tests to verify. She then set me up with a dietitian who helped me find which food sensitivities (not allergies!) were triggering symptoms. The GI doctor said that everything Dr. Govett and others say about candida affecting digestive health is a hoax. Dr. Govett was able to use my desperation and my ignorance for his financial gain while only adding to my health problems. I’ve heard from others, both patients and other health providers, that Dr. Govett is not to be trusted. If you are considering going to him, please find a different, more reliable practitioner!

My 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with a rare cancer. I initially sought Dr. Govett to help identify some of the health challenges she had been facing. We set up an appointment eager to see what he had to say. I unexpectedly had back to back appointments with MD Anderson, Cleveland Clinic, and Boston oncology, contractors to my home to repair flood damage the day of my appointment with Govett. Devastating news was given to me about my child. I missed my appointment so I tried to call and genuinely explain. The utterly HEARTLESS receptionist gave me not one ounce of human empathy or decency. Trying to charge me $200 to reschedule. What a shameful experience.

Best physician I’ve ever come across. Dr Govett is the real deal. Incredibly knowledgeable about things most western medicine doctors won’t address and and or not capable of treating. Addresses root cause of issues vs treating solely symptoms. He has even called me on weekends addressing my issues when I was at fault of missing my apt with him. Who does that? All I can say to him and his office is thank you.

Dr. Govett and his entire staff are friendly and knowledgable. They listen to me and are genuinely concerned about my welfare. I had been very ill for several months and had seen multiple doctors. Dr. Govett actually listened to what I was telling him and treated me accordingly. He and his staff explain what should expected regarding treatment, side effects, and cost. I am so thankful to Dr. Govett and his staff!

Dr. Govett is doing things that I don't get from a general physician. He finds the cause of the problems and treats them with mostly supplements instead of prescription drugs when possible. He stocks these supplements and in my case they are cheaper than I can buy them for on the internet, which is very convenient for me. I would HIGHLY recommend him to everyone who is suffering from allergies, mold, high metals, etc. He has been treating me and other members of my family for years now and with great results.

Oh, and in response to the people that say he's only in it for the money, consider why other doctors are so quick to write prescriptions for the latest drugs that are on the market. Could it be that they get "perks" from the drug rep's to do so? I'm pretty sure that "Big Pharma" is not providing "perks" for the sale of nutritional supplements! 🙂

I went to Dr. Govett due to severe sinus congestion. After recently going through a nasal surgery two years prior the issue came back. Dr. Govett indicated that my sinus issues were related to fungus and diet. He suggested that I start the ketosis diet and put me on antifungal medication. Then when that wasnt improving the situation he ran some food allergy test, which was not covered by insurance and after discussing with other doctors this test was a joke that can't determine anything. After several visits the treatments seemed to become more off the wall and weird with a lot of it not being covered by insurance. I feel that he may be suggesting these remedies that aren't covered to make more money.
