Dave is THE MAN. I just finished 17 songs with him, with a LOT of variation in instrumentation and style, and in each and every one he knocked it out of the park. His ear is incredibly trained to produce your song, and he is an unbelievably quick engineer. The mixes sound incredible, 100% radio-quality without a doubt. If I turned the wheel over to him for creative ideas? He'd knock it out of the park and help me produce or even write the song in a JIFF when I needed it - like it was incredible. But he always let me be in charge, acting only as studio engineer when I wanted, never slowing down my creative process or steering me ANY way I didn't want to go. I never felt pressured, and he was always there for whatever I needed while I was in the studio. I felt totally comfortable working in his studio, and simply put, my album (which is the pride and joy of MY LIFE creatively) would not be AS HALF as good without him. When I was listening to the album back months after finishing, I was like "oh yeah, Dave did that, Dave did that, Dave did that . . . " and I couldn't even believe how much of the goodness was chalked up to Dave. I could work with him for the rest of my career. And no, he didn't pay me to say that, nor request a review haha. If you doubt the charge - the guy is offering IMMENSE value - instant mixes you take home THAT DAY that sound amazing out of the box, and like I said, he does it so fast that you actually save a lot of money without sacrificing any quality. He's not in it for money, he's in it to make your music AMAZING, and that showed time and time again in how generous and kind he was. He's got all the talent and equipment you need, and I think it's unbelievable what we accomplished together. If you worry if your song is ready, or your voice, or how to arrange it (he plays instruments incredibly well as well!), or if it could sound good in a studio - just take it to him and he'll open up a world of awesomeness to you. Dave is a good genuine guy, and incredible at his craft. Couldn't ask any more from the two recordings I've done with him. I never expected to have such a high-quality recording or mix from any facility outside of Nashville, LA, or New York.
