I've used Pirate Studios for over 10 years. Overall, ... very good experiences. The lighting needs to be brighter (Higher Watt LED's.. or install a dimmer that the client can boost). On last visit the heating took a while to come on (Edinburgh- Room 8). The equipment is in good condition. CHEERS Gordon

We started using Pirate probably a couple of years ago now, and generally find it well looked after, easy to book, and good value (particularly with the discount codes which come along fairly regularly). The downside is that as with most rehearsal studios equipment can be missing (small things usually like cymbal felts, parts of the hi-hat clutch etc.) or abused by people that seem to think that everything needs to be tightened to the point of no return. They are pretty quick at responding if you have a problem, although it would be a lot quicker if the studios were permanently ‘manned’. I’ve had an occasion where something was missing and was told to head down to the spares store, only to find the door open and the piece of equipment I needed not there.
Overall though I’d recommend it. 8/10.

I really enjoy playing in pirate studio but a lot of the time I find the place pretty beaten up. I alway find things broken, people vaping inside the corridors and last time even some guys doing lines in the toilets. I sometimes forget if I’m actually in a rehearsal studio or I’m in a club. ?

I have some great moments from this place but I would really like for this place to be supervised more often. ?

The Edinburgh Studios are a very good tool for any skill level. Reasonably goid equipment, easy access (although not an huge number of parking spaces) and reasonably well priced. Very easy to book.

I hired a DJ rehearsal room. The equipment was working but pretty beaten up. Like other folk have said, the toilets need cleaned and some soap would be nice. It was ok, but could be better.

Pros: Remote technical support if needed. Room we used was spacious. Decent soundproofing. Car parking available.

Cons: Room we used looked like it hadn’t been hoovered in a while. The smell of urine when I walked into the ladies’ toilets hit me harder than any nightclub club I’ve been to. I felt pretty contaminated by the time I left to go home. I would AVOID this studio. Can’t see it being open much longer if they continue this poor standard of hygiene.

Rooms are fine, didn't require any equipment to. Decent parking available. Toilets were horrible, but definitely improving since previous visits.
