Wish I had read the other reviews before I went. At best, this is an awkward shopping experience where you are ignored unless you look a certain way, at worst... Well, let's just say the vibes are the wrong kind of retro. I came in to buy a new wardrobe and spend serious cash, but I was treated so poorly I ended up walking out.

Save your money and your dignity and shop elsewhere.

Management should address the feedback on poor customer service asap or this business won't be around much longer.

Usually I love this place. But in the past year it’s gotten way more trendy opposed to the niche charm it had before. Huge shame. They need to bring back what made it special not succumb to mainstream trends. Hope it gets better.

I LOVE this place! Got the cutest dress for my 3 year old niece and when my other niece was turning 8 she specifically asked for a dress from here! And now I'm going back again to get a dress for their mother! Not only are the dresses the best, the ladies that work here are sweet and super helpful and attentive! They also have a ton of super fun gift adds! For instance I got my 8 year old niece a unicorn purse and she loved it! Check them out! You'll be addicted like me! ?

Don't get me wrong; Retro Betty is still my favorite store, but I've been less impressed the last few times I've been there. When I found Retro Betty, it was a dangerous discovery that required a great deal of self-control not to leave the store with an entirely new wardrobe. Everything was cute and solved the biggest problems of modern fashion. A significant portion of the dresses had sleeves and good necklines, the fabric was high-quality unlike the fabrics at most stores that are so thin that every line of what you're wearing underneath shows or that are transparent altogether, and most of the dresses and skirts had pockets. The last few times I've been there, not so much. You'll still find pockets in most of the dresses and skirts, but the fabric quality and modesty of dresses leaves much to be desired. There was one skirt I almost got, but the pockets were too small to fit my phone, and there was a shirt that was a cute style, but if I'm going to pay boutique prices for clothes, I don't want to have to wear a shirt under a transparent shirt. I've also noticed an increase of dry clean only items, which has driven me away from some of the things that have caught my interest. I'm casually keeping an eye on their website, and I'm hoping it will get back to more of the way things used to be when the weather cools down and sleeveless dresses aren't in season anymore.

I came across this place while driving by and it's almost like a hidden gem. I saw their sign and actually turned back around to stop by this shop. When I walked in, it was like no other shop I had seem. It's filled with retro-based items and clothes, but there was also seasonal items; I went around fall time, so there was Halloween-based things as well! I found cute gifts, like special mugs and funny hand towels. It is filled to the brim with special items to buy. Next to the check out counter, there is an opening to another part of the shop with more seasonal and cute items!

While checking out, they asked if I would like my items gift wrapped, which was perfect! They gift wrapped both things and the wrapping was so cute on both of them! They use many different colors of tissue paper and quality ribbons.

The only downside about this shop are their prices. They tend to be on the pricier side, but I believe they price it to continue the survival of the shop. I don't think many people know about this place, which is unfortunate, so I hope people will stop by this place to check it out just like I did, if they have time!

Favorite place to shop in SLC. Staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Constant rotation of good-quality vintage looking clothing, accessories and household items.
