Charged me $500 to do the same job a major company did for $400. Replaced my motor with some “old unit he probably had from an old job,” took my motor which is still under warranty with the intention of exchanging it for new motor and to be given back to me as an extra. It took him almost 5weeks and lots and lots of running around for him to give me the motor back w/o even exchanging it as per our agreement. According to him, he didn’t know which motor is mine because he had them mixed up, who knows. My motor which is still under warranty, my be replaced and sold already.

Update: After contacting Stud Ac and filling a complaint with the BBB Stud Ac is currently working to provide me a refund and I am very satisfied with this resolution.

I hired this individual on August 22nd 2022 to fix my central ac unit. It is a packaged unit. Originally the owner Joseph stated he could not fix it and it was better I buy a new AC so I told him ok no problem I will do so. However in 5 minutes of coming back to me he stated he can fix the issue because it is a compresser problem. I asked if he was sure and he said yes. I explained to him that I have a toddler who has asthma and I really need to have this problem fixed and if he can't fix it he should just say so, so I can call someone else. Well he said he would fix it and he would charge 1200 which is not unusual for a compressor. Well the next night he supposedly bought a new 2.5 ton compressor and fixed my AC and asked for his payment without showing me any receipts for the compressor he bought. I gave him a check and told myself if anything went wrong I would call and cancel it. Well the very next day my AC went out again, so I called Joseph from Stud Air-conditioning and told him to come out again. To make a long story short my AC is still not working and I can't get a hold of Joseph at all. I tried to cancel my check but he already beat me to it by cashing the check at a checking cashing store at 1am in the morning. This man doesn't keep his word. Please do not do business with Stud air. This is not an honest company at all. Claimed to be Christian and against my better judgment I trusted their word only to find out they weren't being earnest.

Came to our house in one hour and repaired in a half hour charged $450 while all air cooling wanted to charge $700 labor plus parts and they still haven’t called with estimate and it’s been 3 days from my first call to all air cooling. Stud air is a family owned business they are my ac company from now on!!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED . THEIR EMPLOYEE BLEW UP MY CONDENSER . THE PARTS WERE UNDER WARRANTY . HE TOOK THE WHOLE CONDENSER WITOUT MY AUTHORIZATION AND DISASSEMBLED IT . I HAD TO CALL HIS BOSS WHO WAS ON VACATION TO TELL HIM HIS EMPLOYEE DIDSOME WORK , ASK CASH AND DID NOT WANT TO PROVIDE AN INVOICE . THE BOSS WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED TOO. HIS EMPLOYEE DIS NOT WANT TO GIVE THE MOTOR BACK ( HE WAS EXPECTING ANOTHER WORK AND BE PAID WITH CASH .) HE BLACKMAILED ME TO FEEP MY OWN MOTOR . FINALLY AFTER TELLING HIM IWAS CALLING THE POLICE , HE GAVE IT TO ME .
HIS BOSS PROMISED ME TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT HE DID NOT SHOW UP LAST TUESDAY .

I HOPE HE WILL COME SOON OTHERWISE I WILL SUE HIM AND REPORT HIM TO THE BBB,

As someone who has spent their entire life in Florida I can attest to the pivotal role air conditioning plays in our lives here. In my experience it has been incredibly hard to find a reliable company to depend on when it comes to AC. I have way more bad experiences than good. I had my expectations set low from the past when I first Called Stud AC and can honestly say I was blown away. Customer service with Stud AC is next to none, which in my opinion, is very important when dealing with something as important as what keeps your / home business livable. They showed up exactly when they said they would (never happnes), were polite and professional and got my unit pumping out icey air in no time. Needles to say, I will be using Stud AC from here on out.

It was literally the Fourth of July and 90 plus degrees! Three gentleman spent more than eight hours replacing the entire HVAC unit. They handled everything from getting permits, too renting a crane to put the compressor on top of the condo building, to cleaning up like they were never even there.

Their professionalism and courtesy were second to none. I would highly recommend Stud Air Conditioning to anyone in the South Florida area.
