Amelia was such an important role in the birth of our son. We had a very positive induction story, it went so smooth. During labor all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball but Amelia kept me moving throughout. It felt like my son was in an awkward position and she gave so many helpful tricks to help him work his way down. She made sure I was hydrated and eating. She was very encouraging, and offered the perfect amount of support to both me and my husband.

After the birth of our son she was there for postpartum care. She rocked our son to sleep so we could catch up on some much needed sleep. She also taught us how to baby wrap. Not only did she support us as a new family but she offered up great resources. Through Amelia we found a wonderful lactation consultant.

Having a doula was crucial in our birth and post partum care. I would use Amelia again and again!

Amelia is an amazing doula and I would highly recommend her to anyone! She was so willing to listen and support any of our needs prior to the labor. During labor, she constantly was supporting with different positions to help baby move farther down. She could instantly read my expressions to know when I needed hip squeezes or if something wasn't working. My husband appreciated all the communication she had to have him help during the process as well. I would highly recommend Amelia to anyone that is looking for a doula that will listen and support you with whatever you want.

Amelia is an incredible doula! She has a calm and reassuring demeanor while also being very attentive and proactive in her support. When my labor was stalled, Amelia suggested a few ideas to try to reposition baby which ultimately led to my water breaking and baby being born shortly after! I would highly recommend Amelia to anyone looking for a highly skilled and nurturing doula.

TLDR: Amelia’s calming and supportive presence before, during and after birth were invaluable to both me and my husband. Without her, I wouldn’t have had as positive of a birth story and would have experienced a lot more stress/anxiety through it all. I highly encourage everyone to hire Amelia for all their births!!!

First time mom - I can’t say enough good things about Amelia. Her presence is so comforting and inviting. The prenatal visits are super informative and both of our meetings went over the allotted time. She was happy to stay and chat with us until we felt all our questions and concerns were heard. The prenatal visits helped us build a relationship with her, gave us the space to discuss any fears/worries about pregnancy/birth, and taught us new skills to prepare for birth and manage labor. When I went into labor, Amelia was immediately available via phone and text. We texted with her for 10 hours through my early labor and she was able to answer all our questions and give great advice/support. When she joined us at the hospital, she brought dinner for my husband and her presence allowed him to step away and eat while she talked to me about my contractions, how I was feeling and what support I needed. She was incredibly calming and supportive for both me and my husband. Having someone so knowledgeable in the room for the entire labor was such a blessing as questions came up and to make recommendations to increase comfort. My husband had someone to voice concerns to and I had someone to share words of encouragement as contractions got more intense. She was a great resource for positions even after I got the epidural. During delivery, she gave great positive reinforcement and took photos that I will cherish forever and have looked back on multiple times in the 2 weeks since the birth. I can’t say enough about how amazing it was to have her support and expertise leading up to, during and after our babies birth. Without her, I wouldn’t have had as positive of a birth experience and there would have been more stress/anxiety through it all. After her postpartum visit, I cried tears of gratitude and my husband said “we’ll see you for the next baby!” I really can’t recommend Amelia enough and HIGHLY encourage everyone to utilize her for all your births. You won’t regret it.

I can’t imagine telling my birth story to anyone, without including Amelia in it. While planning a natural birth with my first child, having a doula was something I wanted, but wasn’t exactly sure what that support would look like or feel like. The moment I met Amelia, I knew she was the perfect fit for my family. Her energy was calm, assertive, and empowering. I felt confident knowing she would be by my side through this journey. She exceeded all my expectations. Amelia was always just a phone call or text away. Prior to my labor, she was incredibly resourceful; she provided videos, exercises, circuits, stretches, and positions I could practice to help prepare my body for labor. She took the time to explain to me what, how, and why everything she shared would benefit my body and birth experience. Amelia listened without judgement and helped me plan the birth I wanted. I labored for much longer than I had ever imagined and she was by my side the entire time. Amelia would be a gift to any woman’s birth story, I will forever tear up when I think about my own story and the strength and love she brought to me and my family.
